When?

When to have relationship counselling

When is the right time to have counselling?

Before your relationship becomes a serious one, before marriage, before children, before it feels like you both have tried everything you can think of and nothing seems to be getting better, before infidelity, before boredom sets in, before the endless arguments, before the love fades, before divorce?

Only you know when it’s the right time for you.

The many reasons for counselling include:

  • Communication breakdowns

  • Constant arguments

  • Sexual problems

  • Affairs

  • Grief/loss/bereavement

  • Finances

  • Work related stresses

  • Redundancy

  • Problems with other family members – children/in-laws/step-families

  • Difficulties with ex-partners

  • Cultural differences

  • Addictive behaviours

  • Abuse (past or present) – domestic violence, mental, emotional, verbal, sexual
